Ένας μεγάλος σύγχρονος χορογράφος

Karl Wilhelm Alexander Ekman (born 12 January 1984) is a Swedish dancer and choreographer. Life and career Ekman trained at the Royal Swedish Ballet School from 1994 to 2001, and danced at the Royal Swedish Opera from 2001 to 2002 and then at the Nederlands Dans Theater II (NDT II) from 2002 to 2005. He danced for the Cullberg Ballet from 2005 to 2006, where he made his debut as a choreographer.[1]
Ekman's work has been performed by companies around the world including the Boston Ballet, Nederlands Dans Theater, Norwegian National Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Sydney Dance Company, Dresden Semperoper Ballet, Wiener Staatsballet, São Paulo City Ballet, Royal Swedish Ballet and Les Ballets de Monte Carlo. In addition to his choreography, Ekman is known for designing the sets and costumes as well as co-composing the music for many of his pieces.[2]
He received an Olivier Award nomination in 2013 for his choreography of the original work Cacti. His other notable works include Tyll, A Swan Lake, and Episode 31.
