Η θάλασσα

 Η θάλασσα είναι σαν τον έρωτα:
μπαίνεις και δεν ξέρεις αν θα βγεις.  
Πόσοι δεν έφαγαν τα νιάτα τους –
μοιραίες βουτιές, θανατερές καταδύσεις,
γράμπες, πηγάδια, βράχια αθέατα,
ρουφήχτρες, καρχαρίες, μέδουσες.
Αλίμονο αν κόψουμε τα μπάνια
Μόνο και μόνο γιατί πνίγηκαν πεντέξι.
Αλίμονο αν προδώσουμε τη θάλασσα
Γιατί έχει τρόπους να μας καταπίνει.
Η θάλασσα είναι σαν τον έρωτα:
χίλιοι τη χαίρονται – ένας την πληρώνει.

Που τη βλέπουμε να χορεύει  κατά μήκος των καθαρών ακρογιαλιών

Με τα ασημένια λαμπιρίσματα

Κάτω από τη βροχή

Η θάλασσα

Στον άνετο καλοκαιρινό ουρανό

Τα λευκά του προβατάκια

Με τους τόσο αγνούς αγγέλους

Η θάλασσα το απέραντο γαλάζιο

τα μακριά μουσκεμένα

αυλάκια της στa αβαθή της άμμου

Δείτε

τους λευκούς γλάρους της

και τα σκουριασμένα σπίτια της.

Η θάλασσα

τα έχει λικνίσει

κατά μήκος των καθαρών ακρογιαλιών

Και μ’ ένα τραγούδι που μιλάει για τον έρωτα

«Η θάλασσα

λίκνισε την καρδιά μου για τη ζωή»
