The Prix de Lausanne was created in 1973 to identify, promote and support the most promising young dance talent, aged 15 to 18. Dancers from all over the world will take part in the competition this year. A lucky few will receive a scholarship to attend one of the competition's associated schools or companies. ARTE Concert is bringing you the whole of this exceptional event, from the first days of coaching to the final.
After four days of training, it is time for the young Prix de Lausanne candidates to take to the stage of the Montreux Music & Convention Centre.
Each dancer must present a classical and a contemporary variation to a jury chaired this year by Margaret Tracey. The afternoon selection sessions are dedicated to the senior candidates, aged between 17 and 18.
Filmed on February 3 2022 at the Montreux Music & Convention Centre, Switzerland.
