Τhe clumsy flesh-colored lycra shorts on the dancers were imposed by management only for this one performance, as it was broadcast live world-wide on a sunday afternoon.
At all other performances they were naked but for a little gold paint and a minimal schmata over the bits.
The effect of course was astonishing, the affect deep. the choreographer is AUSTIN McCORMICK, julliard graduate, whose own COMPANY XIV has been delighting audiences with immersive next-level revolutionary evenings in the theater for 15+ years, most recently at their own warehouse space in bushwick, brooklyn -- transformed into an intimate tricked-out enchanted cabaret theater. in COMPANY XIV's current ballet, circus, song, burlesque extravaganza, SEVEN SINS, one of the dancers in this video performs extraordinary aerial work suspended over the audience -- just one of many wonders to behold . . .
