Ένα από τα πιο γνωστά κι αγαπημένα έργα του Πέρσελ σε τέσσερις διαφορετικές εκτελέσεις : από την ολοκληρωμένη του μορφή των 15 περίπου λεπτών... στις πιο μικρές των δύο και κάτι. Από τη πολυόργανη ορχήστρα ...στη σόλο εκδοχή του με φλάουτο.
Δεν είναι γοητευτικό που μουσική του 17ου αιώνα εξακολουθεί να μας ...γοητεύει;

B. Abdelazer, or the "Moors revenge".

 This is the incidental music written by Henry Purcell, based upon the novel by Aphra Behn, which was first published in 1668. It is widely acknowledged that she was the first English female to successfully make her living as an author. This piece, was recorded in 1980, by the Bournemouth Sinfonietta and directed by Ronald Thomas.
