 PART I 

Scene 1: Isaiah's prophecy of salvation. – 00:00:44. Overture (instrumental). – 00:03:54. Comfort ye, my people (tenor). – 00:06:50. Ev'ry valley shall be exalted (air for tenor). – 00:10:34. And the glory of the Lord (anthem chorus).

 Scene 2: The coming judgment. – 00:13:32. Thus saith the Lord of hosts (accompanied recitative for bass). – 00:15:20. But who may abide the day of His coming? (soprano, alto or bass). – 00:19:50. And He shall purify the sons of Levi (chorus).
