James Horner : Αμερικανός συνθέτης, ενορχηστρωτής, διευθυντής ορχήστρας και της ορχηστρικής και κινηματογραφικής μουσικής. Υπήρξε  από τους πιο επιτυχημένους μουσικούς του Hollywood που μάλιστα βραβεύτηκε  με δύο Όσκαρ για τη σύνθεση του soundtrack "My heart will go on" της ταινίας του James Cameron, Τιτανικός. Για τη μουσική του, είχε ξεχωρίσει και στις ταινίες Braveheart, Star Trek, A Beautiful Mind, Field of Dreams και Apollo 13, συγκεντρώνοντας συνολικά 10 υποψηφιότητες για Όσκαρ.

Τον Ιούνιο του 2015, σε ηλικία 62 ετών, σκοτώθηκε σε αεροπορικό δυστύχημα. Το διθέσιο μονοκινητήριο αεροπλάνο του συνετρίβη κοντά στη Σάντα Μπάρμπαρα της Νότιας Καλιφόρνια. Την είδηση επιβεβαίωσε η βοηθός του, Sylvia Patrycja.
